Physics upperclassmen participated in the third annual University Physics Competition

Physics upperclassmen Meredith Mc Linn (junior), Pragalv Karki (senior) and Shouvik Bhattacharya (senior) participated in the University Physics Competition 2012. They modeled how masses of the exoplanets affect volcanic activity over time. They used principles of Thermodynamics and Planetary Sciences to solve this problem. Konrad Czynski led discussion at Philosophy for All

Konrad Czynski, on Nov. 15 at the Plains Art Museum, under the auspices of “Philosophy For All” organized by Professor Emeritus Mark Chekola, led a discussion with several MSUM colleagues and students, as well as with Fargo-Moorhead community-members, titled “A Dialogue across the Centuries with Marcus Aurelius.” The focus of the philosophical gathering was his Stoicism-imbued reflections traditionally called “Meditations.”
