Dragon Mentor nominations now being accepted
MSUM will offer 11 Learning Communities for the 2013-2014 academic year. Learning Communities offer first-year students a chance to connect with other students through sharing living space and classes. In addition students are connected with faculty, and a Dragon Mentor, an undergraduate student who lives on their residence hall floor and offers academic guidance. Upperclassmen participated in the Mathematical Contest in Modeling 2013
MSUM upperclassmen LeAnn Washenberger (Secondary Math Education, Physics minor) and Shouvik Bhattacharya (Physics major, Mathematics minor) participated in the Mathematical Contest in Modeling 2013. They formulated an optimized model, which will allow users to bake brownies without burning them, as the baking pans distribute the heat evenly on their surfaces.
