DESCRIPTION: In order to be eligible for course development funding from MSUM’s Distance Education Fee, participation in this 3-part series of workshops is required.
Part 1: During this 3-hour session, participants will examine existing online classes, review quality standards for online classes, and explore applications that assist with the design of online instructional materials, including some free and easy-to-use Web 2.0 applications.
Part 2: During this 3-hour session, participants will investigate techniques for designing an online unit of instruction, including applications that support collaboration, and interactive activities.
Part 3: This 3-hour session will present ideas for innovative assessments and best practices and tips for teaching online.
