Campus Partners Invited to Help Plan Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Event
The Inclusive Excellence Committee is inviting offices, departments, programs, academic areas, and students across campus to collaborate on a campus-wide event honoring the life, leadership, and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this January.
Planning efforts will be led by the Campus Diversity Officer, with the goal of bringing together voices from across our campus community to create meaningful opportunities for learning, reflection, conversation, and engagement.
Student planners are especially welcome. Students who would like to help shape the event, contribute ideas, or participate in the planning process are encouraged to get involved.
Faculty are also invited to participate. If you teach a course that could connect with the themes of the event, we welcome opportunities to partner with you and explore co-curricular experiences that complement classroom learning.
If your office, department, program, class, or student organization would like to join the planning efforts, please email Jered Pigeon, Campus Diversity Officer.
Together, we can create a meaningful campus-wide experience that brings students and employees together to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy and its continued relevance to our communities today.
