Happy LGBTQIA2S+ History Month, Dragons!
This month we celebrate the generations of LGBTQIA2S+ people whose courage, advocacy, creativity, and perseverance have helped shape our campuses, communities, and country. We honor the history, recognize the progress made, and celebrate the joy, authenticity, and belonging that LGBTQIA2S+ folks bring to our world every day. Our campus celebrated National Coming Out Day with Ghosts, Notes and Pride Notes which was a huge success with 70+ folks stopping by to build community, write notes of encouragement and create cute Halloween brick sets!
As we celebrate, we also recognize that LGBTQIA2S+ stories continue to be written. Recent discussions and policy decisions affecting LGBTQIA2S+ learners in our state and across our nation, remind us that inclusion, respect, and access to opportunities remain important conversations. These moments underscore why visibility, community, and support matter.
At Moorhead, we remain committed to fostering a campus where all students, staff, and faculty can learn, work, and thrive as their full selves. We invite you to celebrate LGBTQIA2S+ history, share in the joy of our community, and continue building a campus where everyone belongs. There are so many ways to get involved in events for LGBTQIA2S+ History Month on campus. Log on to Dragon Central for more detailed information and to sign up. Hope to see you soon!
