Take a look at the woman behind campus renovations
In a construction management industry dominated by men, a female is behind the creation of MSUM’s new Christianson Alumni Center and the impressive renovations underway in the university’s oldest building. Brenda Norris, executive director of facilities management, has brought contemporary functionality and grandeur to campus structures for over 20 years.
Weld Hall will be given a striking north entrance, updated auditorium and innovative new classroom spaces. Norris can’t wait to glimpse the transformation of this foundational part of campus. “I love seeing the before and after of projects, knowing you had a hand in making it better,” she says.
