Calling All Actors!

Get ready to be transported to a winter wonderland with Gerda and the Snow Queen’s Spell, a delightful children’s theater production that brings Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved fairy tale to life! This enchanting story follows the brave young Gerda on a quest to save her best friend Kai from the clutches of the powerful Snow Queen. Along the way, she encounters magical creatures, daring challenges, and the true meaning of friendship and courage.

CAST OF CHARACTERS

 

Gerda: A brave and kind-hearted young girl with an unbreakable spirit. Gerda embarks on a perilous journey to rescue her best friend, Kai, from the Snow Queen’s icy grasp. Her courage and determination make her a true heroine, proving that love and friendship can conquer even the coldest of spells. (Feminine-presenting)

 

Kai/Forest Elf: Kai is Gerda’s best friend, a curious and adventurous boy who falls under the Snow Queen’s spell, turning his heart to ice. As the Forest Elf, he is playful and mischievous, a magical creature who helps Gerda on her journey, teaching her that not all magic is dark and dangerous. (Masculine-presenting)

 

Snow Queen: The powerful and enigmatic ruler of the frozen north, the Snow Queen is both beautiful and chilling. She weaves icy spells and seeks to keep Kai in her icy palace forever. (Feminine-presenting)

 

Cicle: A lively and mischievous ice sprite, Cicle serves the Snow Queen but has a playful and unpredictable nature. Though their loyalty lies with her frosty queen, Cicle can’t help but be intrigued by Gerda’s warmth and determination. (Feminine or masculine-presenting)

 

Kai’s Parent/Crow 1/Guard 2 & Gerda’s Parent/Crow 2/Guard 1: Versatile actors who portray the parents; mischievous and comedic crows; and bumbling and freezing palace guards. (Feminine or masculine-presenting)
