Career Development Center Seeking Faculty Career Fellow
The Career Development Center at Minnesota State University Moorhead is seeking to name a Faculty Career Fellow to co-lead the conceptualization, development, implementation planning, and assessment of a Career Certification Program to be offered to faculty and staff at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Career Fellow Objectives, Responsibilities & Time Commitment
The purpose of the Faculty Career Fellow is to develop a certification program to assist other faculty in incorporating careers across the curriculum. The content of the program will be based on industry best practices and could include incorporating career skills into the syllabi, connecting classroom content to the future careers of students, creating career-related assignments, incorporating career conversations into advising, etc. The fellow will participate in planning sessions with the Career Development Center and focus on the following areas:

Conceptualization

With support from the Career Development Center, propose Career Certification Program objectives and outline
Development

With support from the Career Development Center, design and curate sessions and related learning materials and activities that align with the integration of career development across the curriculum
Implementation Planning

With support from the Career Development Center, develop facilitation guides for program presenters, as well as a marketing proposal to encourage participation
Assessment

With support from the Career Development Center, create an assessment plan to measure the success of the Career Certification Program
The Faculty Career Fellow would begin in fall 2024 with an end date to be determined based on the availability of the fellow, but no later than the end of spring 2025. Planning sessions and deliverable due dates will be determined in consultation with the fellow.
Compensation
Through grant funding provided by Google, the Faculty Career Fellow will receive one EDD for each deliverable, resulting in four EDDs throughout the fellowship.
Qualifications

A faculty member at Minnesota State University Moorhead;
Demonstrated knowledge of effective practices in teaching adult learners and/or students with a wide diversity of backgrounds;
Demonstrated skill in communicating effectively with faculty, students, and administrators;
Demonstrated organizational ability;
Interest in student career development
Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working with career readiness;
Previous experience in faculty development
