Four VP University Advancement candidates selected
Four candidates for the new position of Vice President for University Advancement have been selected and the first candidate to be interviewed on campus will hold a public forum from 10:30 -11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 22 in CMU 101.
The first candidate is Ohmar Land, who has served since 2013 as Director of Major Gifts at Bowie State (Maryland) University. Prior to that, he was Director of Development for Washington, D.C.-based United Planning Organization, D.C.’s Community Action Agency (2011-2013); Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer and Campaign Manager for Prince George’s Community College in Largo, MD (2010-11); Government Partnership Development Office for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund in Washington, D.C. (2009-2010); and Executive Director for Charlotte, North Carolina’s Housing Authority Scholarship Fund (2006-2009). He holds a Ph.D. in Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix (2011), an M.B.A. from Pfeiffer University (Charlotte, N.C.), and a B.S. in Business Administration from Appalachian State University, Boone, N.C.
The other three candidates are Joy Crouch, MSUM Alumni Foundation Director of Development; Gary Haugo, Director of Development at Concordia College; and Jon Olson, Vice President for the Northern State University Foundation, Aberdeen.
