MSUM announces 30-day enrollment figures
Undergraduate enrollment for Fall Semester 2014 at MSU Moorhead is down while graduate enrollment increased.
Factors contributing to the undergraduate decrease include a statewide decline in the number of high school graduates and adherence to published admissions standards. The university’s Strategic Enrollment Management Committee is developing a comprehensive plan that addresses both student recruitment and retention.
The increase in graduate school enrollment is credited to an expansion of graduate programs in demand by regional employers and designed for adult learners.
The graduate and undergraduate enrollment trends had been projected and no change in the university’s operating budget will be required.
