Daniel Mahraun performs recital Feb. 1

Daniel A. Mahraun, vocalist, director of choral activities and assistant professor of Music at MSUM, will perform a recital Friday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 1705 5th St. S., Fargo.

Mahraun, a baritone, will be joined by several musicians from the community: violinists Jane Linde Capistran and Jennifer Tackling; violist Giulia Emirio; cellist Greg Hamilton; oboist Yi-Ping Christina Chen-Beyers; and  pianist Susan Nagel. The performance includes J. S. Bach Cantata No. 82 (Ich habe genug); Vaughan Williams’ setting of Rossetti sonnets, Willow-wood; and settings of Shakespeare in translation. The recital is free and open to the public.
