
Cultures of Wellness: Study Abroad trip to Finland and Sweden
27 students, led by Dr. Mary Dosch (Psychology, School Psychology) and assisted by Dr. Jenna Laurin (Psychology), traveled to Finland and Sweden for a short-term study abroad trip.
The study abroad program was focused on Cultures of Wellness across the Scandinavian and Nordic countries. Students participated in a number of cultural activities, including a traditional sauna experience in Helsinki, Finland. They also engaged in an education workshop, visited a Finnish middle school classroom, and attended a guest lecture from a Swedish high school principal in Stockholm during the trip.
This study abroad experience was inclusive of students from a number of majors, including undergraduate Psychology, Social Work, and Special Education majors, and graduate School Psychology students.
