Student Developed Planetarium Show Debuts This Weekend, Blending Art & Science
A new planetarium show, “TRAPPIST-1: an Exoplanet Story,” is debuting in the planetarium this Saturday, June 13 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 14 at 7 p.m. The show features a story, music, and voice acting created and performed by current Minnesota State Moorhead students. Tickets are now available
Several students collaborated on the intersectional production to blend awe inspiring astronomy and music, building the story inspired by Trappist-1. The search for water outside of our solar system has been of particular interest within the scientific community, here is where we find the exoplanet system TRAPPIST-1, with 6 roughly earth sized planets around the central star.
This show imagines a story that could be told using those planets, much like the stories we tell of our stars.
