Planetarium Completes Month-long Marathon of Fargo 5th Grade Shows Feat. 800 students
The Planetarium just completed its full month run of shows for the Fargo 5th graders. About 800 students from the Fargo Public Schools district attended the Planetarium throughout February. The program they experienced is one based on ND 5th grade standards. This program was created in collaboration with ND educators to specifically serve their 5th grade students. Many of these programs were presented by MSUM students who are staff of the planetarium. These programs provide the opportunity for planetarium students to hone their presentation and teaching skills as well as strengthen their understanding of the content itself. This year marks the 10th year running these programs for Fargo and West Fargo 5th graders, with over 10,000 5th graders having experienced this learning in our dome.
