Economic Society Attends 2025 Minnesota Economic Association Conference
Economic Society members Brandon Toribio, Benjamin Hoppe, Ava Owens, and Crescin Muzzy attended the Minnesota Economic Association Conference on October 24th, 2025, at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The conference theme for this year was “Economics in the News” and included a keynote address by Dr. Menzie Chinn and a panel discussion including professional perspectives from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, the Upjohn Institute, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Attendees gained valuable insights on using and interpreting economic data as well as the importance of preserving data integrity.
Economic Society members interacted with Dr. Chinn and the panelists following their presentations and networked with students from other Minnesota universities on undergraduate research topics.
