Minnesota State Moorhead holds 2nd Annual STEAM Day
Minnesota State Moorhead held its second Science, Technology, Economics, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) Day Oct. 8. This brought 87 high school students from four school districts to campus to take part in 21 different workshops offered during the day. Teachers from Moorhead High, Perham, Lake Park Audubon, and Crookston attended “AI, Apps, and the Future of Teaching” while their students visited the Oceanarium & Planetarium. They selected many hands-on sessions such as origami, monoprinting, the science of cooking with proteins, mathematics of perspective drawing, AI detectives and VR, chemistry of physics of color, soap bubble art, and washing saloon trash for science to name some of the workshops by our faculty and students.
