Moorhead Celebrates Homecoming Sept. 29-Oct. 5

Minnesota State Moorhead’s annual Homecoming Week celebration begins Monday, Sept. 29 and continues through Sunday, Oct. 5, with a weeklong schedule of events, many free and open to the public.

Monday, Sept. 29

  • 7:30 p.m. – Meet the homecoming royalty and watch Dragons display their talent in music, magic, comedy and more in Dragons Got Talent at the Comstock Memorial Union Ballroom.


Tuesday, Sept. 30

  • 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Ice cream social on the campus mall


Wednesday, Oct. 1

  • 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – A campus favorite, Pi Your Professor with the Math Club, on the campus mall
  • Noon to 2 p.m. – Sample several chilis, vote for your favorite, and help determine who will be victorious in the Dean’s Chili Feed Competition on the campus mall.  
  • 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. – Alumni and friends are invited to the 21+ Dragon Homecoming Happy Hour at Swing Barrel Brewing, 814 Center Ave., Moorhead.


Thursday, Oct. 2

  • 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. – Battleship H20 in the Nemzek Swimming Pool


Friday, Oct. 3


Saturday, Oct. 4

  • Noon – Dragon football takes on Minot State University at Scheels Field
  • 3:30 p.m. – Dragon Volleyball versus Northern State University at Nemzek Fieldhouse
  • 7:30 p.m. – Annual Band & Choir Alumni Homecoming Concert features guest conductors Dr. Erynn Millard, former director of choral music education at Moorhead, and Bailey Acuña (Benoit), Class of 2019, in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Hansen Theatre.


Sunday, Oct. 5

  • 1 p.m. – Watch Dragon Soccer take on University of Jamestown at Nemzek Soccer Field
