Student Referrals Available to All Employees through Advising & Early Alert System

All Minnesota State Moorhead staff and faculty now have the ability to create student referrals in the Advising & Early Alert System. Students can be referred through this system for additional support with academics, success coaching, career preparation, basic needs, leaves, and major/career exploration.

This expanded access to the A&EA Referral system is in recognition of the critical role all Moorhead staff and faculty play in proactively connecting our students to support staff and resources at any point throughout the year.

Employees can submit referrals by logging in here:  https://my.mnstate.edu/earlyalert
(Note: faculty and staff with existing access to Advising & Early Alert can select “Referrals” from the system menu)

Referral types include:

    • Academic Concern – class attendance concerns, at risk of failing course, overall academic progress concerns
    • Career Support – internship and job search, resume, cover letter, interviewing and other career-related needs, access to free professional clothing
    • Dean of Students – support for basic needs insecurity, medical or bereavement leave, pregnant and parenting support
    • Major & Career Exploration – student has expressed uncertainty about major or career path
Success Coaching – academic skills, motivation, resilience, confidence, sense of belonging, navigating challenges, navigating Minnesota State Moorhead
