Vacation Donation Opportunity – Heather Nesemeier
Heather Nesemeier, OASS at MSUM, has been approved for the vacation donation program through MMB and would greatly appreciate any donations she would receive. In December 2024, Heather was diagnosed with idiopathic myointimal hyperplasia of the mesenteric veins (IMHMV). This is a very rare, chronic disease. In November 2024, Heather had life-saving emergency surgery. Heather is scheduled to have another surgery on June 16, and could use vacation donation to help support her during this time.
Any state employee who accrues vacation may donate up to 40 hours per fiscal year. The vacation donation will help ensure Heather can maintain her salary and health benefits while she is having surgery and recovering. If you wish to donate any vacation leave to Heather, here are the instructions:
- Log in to Employee Self Service using your State ID and password.
- Select the Benefits tile >My Leave From the menu on the left-hand side, select the arrow to access the Leave Donation.
- Select the magnifying glass next to “Reserve Bank” and choose Heather’s name.
- Enter the number of hours you wish to donate.
- Select “Save.”
There are also Leave Donation Instructions provided, as needed. Vacation donation forms can also be found on HR’s website, here, as IFO and MSUAASF employees are unable to donate through Employee Self Service.
