Moorhead Juneteenth celebration at Concordia College
Thursday, June 19 | 3 to 7 p.m. | Concordia College
Minnesota State Moorhead is a proud co-sponsor of the 4th Annual Moorhead Juneteenth on Thursday, June 19 from 3 to 7 p.m., at the Concordia College bell tower lawn near Knutson Campus Center.
This year’s theme, “Between Spaces,” invites the community to experience an immersive, interactive day of freedom, art, and collective visioning. The free, family-friendly event will feature live performances, interactive panels, youth-led monologues, immersive Afro-Futuristic art, and a collective mural visioning Moorhead’s future.
“Juneteenth is a powerful opportunity to honor Black history and reflect on the work we’ve done and that is still ahead to advance equity and understanding in our communities,” said Jered Pigeon, Campus Diversity Officer and Director of Diversity & Inclusion. “Minnesota State Moorhead is proud to stand alongside our community in creating a more hopeful future for all.”
Comedian Joseph “Juice” Sutton, the official host for the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Wild, will be emcee.
