Community Huddle to bring together residents, leaders and organizations to build trust and break barriers

Thursday, June 5 | 5 to 7 p.m. | Christianson Alumni Center, Barry Auditorium

Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota and Inclusive Moorhead, in collaboration with local leaders and community organizations, is proud to host a Community Huddle—a powerful and interactive gathering focused on trust-building, open dialogue, and community collaboration.

The event occurs on Thursday, June 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Minnesota State Moorhead Christianson Alumni Center, Barry Auditorium.

The Community Huddle will bring together BIPOC community members, low-income residents, local organizations, and local government to have meaningful conversations about our community’s challenges, including housing, civil justice, workforce development and education—and how to overcome them together.

“We’re creating a space where everyone is welcome to speak up, be heard, and be part of the solution,” said Crystal Jamerson, community engagement and outreach coordinator at Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota. “This event is about more than identifying problems—it’s about mapping out what resources we already have and finding ways to fill in the gaps through collaboration.”

Attendees will be invited to share the issues they see, explore how those challenges impact our neighborhoods, and help identify both existing services and innovative solutions. Local organizations and service providers will also introduce themselves, share how they support the community, and offer direct points of contact for future partnerships.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
