Dr. Amy Mercer presents at national conference

Dr. Amy Mercer, School of Performing Arts Assistant Professor, recently presented at the Music Teachers’ National Association (MTNA) National Conference, held in Minneapolis. Her presentation, titled Scandinavian Seasons, was a lecture recital featuring the late Romantic piano works of four female Scandinavian composers: Anna-Louise Egeberg, Erika Bodom, Inga Lærum-Liebich, and Sigrid Arneberg. Dr. Mercer focused primarily on the works that represented each of the four seasons, performing a number of the pieces and exploring their respective interpretations of the various seasons of nature.
