SPA Hosts 70 students for Dragon High School Honor Band

Under the direction and guidance of Dr. Benjamin Druffel, Director of Bands and Instrumental Music Education at MSUM, the School of Performing Arts hosted 70 high school students from across a North Dakota and Minnesota for the Dragon High School Honor Band on Tuesday, Nov. 5th.  These students, which represented some of the “best of the best” of music programs across both states, were selected based upon the recommendation of their local band director to participate in this honorary performance opportunity under the baton of Dr. Druffel.  The students rehearsed in the morning and concluded the day with an afternoon performance of four selections for wind ensemble which was live-streamed via the MSUM Youtube channel.
