Resources During Election Times

Hello Dragons,

Election times can be stressful, especially for university students balancing their studies, social lives, and emotional well-being. Here are some ways students can help themselves manage challenging election results:

Limit Media Consumption: Taking breaks from social media and the news can help prevent overwhelm. Set specific times to check updates rather than constantly scrolling.
Connect with Others: Talk with friends, family, or support groups to share feelings and stay grounded. Student organizations may also provide a space for connection.
Engage in Healthy Outlets: Exercise, journaling, or creative projects can be effective ways to process emotions and stay active.
Practice Mindfulness and Self-care: Techniques like deep breathing, meditation, and yoga can be calming. Ensure you’re eating well, getting enough rest, and staying hydrated.
Focus on What You Can Control: Engage in positive actions like volunteering, participating in local activism, or joining discussions on campus. Contributing to causes you care about can be empowering.
Seek Support if Needed: Universities often offer counseling and mental health services for students, which can provide helpful tools for coping with stress.

These strategies can help students stay balanced, focused, and connected, even in challenging times.

Students:
