Impress Local Employers in the SPARQ Competition
The SPARQ competition gives students an opportunity to develop a novel hypothesis to an open question asked by a regional employer. Each individual of the winning team nets a $100 gift card of their choosing.
Participants in the competition will explore primary literature to develop a hypothesis and rationale to address the question selected, as well as how to experimentally test the hypothesis. Teams will be expected to submit a written proposal (due March 14, 2025) and present a poster at the Student Academic Conference explaining their hypothesis and rationale. The winning proposal will be determined by the written proposal and poster presentation. Students will also have the option to register for 1 credit of research (BIOL 494) while participating.
