School of Performing Arts to host 2,900 elementary students this week

The MSUM School of Performing Arts will present five educational performances for approximately 2,900 first grade students from across the Red River Valley this week in Hansen Theatre. This annual event, featuring MSUM’s “Fuego Tropical” World Music and Percussion Ensemble directed by Dr. Kenyon Williams, takes students on an exploration of music from around the world.  The event is made possible through a collaboration with The Learning Bank, a local nonprofit focused on enriching K-5 art, history and culture education at public and private schools across Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo.
