MSUM Celebrates 2024 Homecoming Oct. 7-13 

Minnesota State University Moorhead’s annual Homecoming Week celebration begins Monday, Oct. 7, and continues through Sunday, Oct. 13, with a weeklong schedule of events, many free and open to the public. 

Monday, Oct. 7 
7:30 p.m. – Meet the Homecoming royalty and watch Dragons display their talent in music, magic, comedy and more in the Comstock Memorial Union Ballroom. 

Tuesday, Oct. 8 
Noon to 2 p.m. – Sample several chilis, vote for your favorite, and help determine who will be victorious in the Deans’ Chili Feed Competition on the campus mall (rain site: Roland Dille Center for the Arts). 
6 p.m. – Dragon Volleyball takes on Bemidji State University at Nemzek Fieldhouse 

Wednesday, Oct. 9 
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Pi Your Professor with the Math Club in the CMU Patio.
11 to 12:30 p.m. – Savor a sweet snack at the ice cream social in the campus mall (rain site: Center for the Arts) 
5 to 6:30 p.m. – Alumni and friends are invited to the 21+ Dragon Homecoming Happy Hour at Swing Barrel Brewing, 814 Center Ave., Moorhead. 
7:30 p.m. – Enjoy a high-energy performance by TaikoArts Midwest, combining music, dance, martial arts, athletics and culture, in the Center for the Arts Hansen Theatre. Get tickets at mnstate.edu/tickets. 

Thursday, Oct. 10 
6 to 9 p.m. – Watch a film screening of The Brothers of Rondo documentary in the Center for the Arts Gaede Stage. 
8:30 – 11:30 p.m. – Make a splash with Battleship H2O in the Nemzek Swimming Pool.

Friday, Oct. 11 
10 a.m. – Celebrate the opening of MSUM’s new Christianson Alumni Center with the ribbon cutting outside the new building, 707 11th St. S., Moorhead. 
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Celebrate National Coming Out Day with Art & Affirmations in the CMU Sungarden Lounge.
3 p.m. – Dragon Soccer takes on University of Sioux Falls at the Nemzek Soccer Field. 
7 p.m. – Music, yard games, s‘mores and more at Nemzek Practice Field. 
8 p.m. – Homecoming Court Coronation and Burning of the M at Nemzek Practice Field. 

Saturday, Oct. 12 
Noon – Cheer on Dragon Football as they play Minnesota State University – Mankato in Scheels Field. 
7:30 p.m. – MSUM’s Alumni Choir and Band Concert will take place in the Center for the Arts Hansen Theatre. Get tickets at mnstate.edu/tickets.  

Sunday, Oct. 13 
Noon – Watch Dragon Soccer against Bemidji State University at the Nemzek Soccer Field.
