Welcome to Fall 2024 from the Office of Diversity and Inclusion
Welcome Dragons!
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) is here for you! Our office is located at Comstock Memorial Union (CMU) 120 in the northwest corner of the building on the main floor.
We encourage you to stop by to say hi, talk, and/or set up a meeting with one of our staff members to learn about opportunities available through the ODI.
The ODI offers four cultural and identity centers, advising, resources, programming, scholarships, campus jobs, diverse student organizations, leadership opportunities, and more. Our student centers include the George Soule American Indian Center (CMU 115), Intercultural Center (CMU 121), Rainbow Dragon Center (Bridges 150), and the Women’s Center (Bridges 154). They are typically open from 8 AM – 8 PM, Monday through Friday. Each center provides unique resources and connections, so be sure to check them out soon to see what may be of interest.
If you are thinking about getting involved in a student organization, visit DragonCentral http://mnstate.edu/dragoncentral. This website lists over 100 student organizations, including cultural, political, academic, athletic, religious, and more! We invite you to join us for our Diverse Student Social on September 17th, 7:00 – 8:30 PM in the Intercultural Center (CMU 121), to enjoy free food, learn more about the diverse student organizations on campus, and meet new people. Visit our page on DragonCentral to see our other upcoming events!
We are hiring! We have two different positions available; for students that have work-study, please apply for our ODI Assistant position, and if you are a Graduate Student pursuing a Master’s or Doctorate, please consider applying for our Gender and Sexuality Assistant position.
We want to ensure your academic and personal success by reminding you of some important resources available to you.
