Gooding invited to present at University of Texas at Austin

Anthropology Program’s Dr. Erik Gooding was invited to speak at the University of Texas at Austin as part of the symposium, Translating the Field: Music, Power, Praxis, on the issues of Indigenous translation. Gooding collaborated with University of Oklahoma music professor Maxwell Yamane on their presentation, “‘From Beautiful Colors to Black and White’: Politics and Issues in Translating Native  Songs of the Great Plains and Prairies” Maxwell Yamane (University of Oklahoma) and  Erik Gooding (Minnesota State  University, Moorhead).
