Third consecutive Dragon named MN state DECA president
Sophia Smith is named the 2024-2025 MN state DECA president. Sophia is a junior majoring in finance and the third consecutive Dragon named president. She often competes outside of her major during competitions to grow skills that will allow her to prosper in her field.
DECA is open to anyone and is a great way to build a resume and network for future opportunities. Sophia’s biggest takeaway from this experience is the people she has met throughout her time in high school and collegiate DECA.
“Everyone needs networking and resume experience. DECA gives you a head start,” Sophia says.
