MSUM Dille lecturer Vinod Lall to speak on “Impact of COVID-19 on Global Supply Chains”

Vinod Lall, a professor at MSU Moorhead’s Paseka School of Business, will present a free public lecture on the Impact of COVID-19 on Global Supply Chains on Thursday, Oct. 19, at 4 p.m. in the Center for Business 109. Light refreshments will be served.
Lall’s presentation is an honor given as the 2023 Dille Distinguished Faculty Lecturer Award recipient.
The talk will explore how COVID-19 caused widespread disruptions in supply chains across many industries, resulting in the delayed delivery of goods and services. During this lecture, Lall will share the findings of his and his students’ work to study and analyze these supply chains.
Lall is an Operations and Supply Chain Management professor at the AACSB-accredited Paseka School of Business. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in supply chain management, operations management, project management, and business analytics. He led the teams that developed MSUM’s Business Analytics major and Global Supply Chain Management major. He was also instrumental in developing the university’s MBA program.
Lall’s recent research focuses on applying Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) for optimal decision-making models. He has traveled extensively to deliver graduate-level courses in Ecuador, India, Thailand and Bulgaria, where he’s taught weekend Executive MBA classes for American University Bulgaria.
Lall is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) by APICS, The American Society for Operations Management. He has delivered supply chain certification courses for Bobcat, Border States Electric, Magnum Logistics, John Deere, and Marvin Windows.
