MOORHEAD — More than 1,500 elementary students got a chance to explore a real college campus Thursday, Aug. 3.
Thirty-two activity booths were set out at Minnesota State University Moorhead, including Alka-Seltzer explosions, athletic competitions, and more.
Tri-College University Provost Tim Flakoll said the activities were meant to inspire the participating kindergarden through fifth-grade students to attend college, trade school, or another field of study down the line.
“Showing them some of the various jobs they can have when they get out of high school and go into college and what they might need to do, that academic area, to pursue their life goal,” Flakoll said.
