National Library Week 2023
National Library Week is an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities. This year’s theme, “There’s More to the Story,” explains that there’s more to libraries than just books. Libraries are welcoming spaces that bring communities together for entertainment, education, and connection through programming, services, and resources. And libraries play a critical role in the economic vitality of communities by providing internet and technology access, literacy skills, and support for job seekers. We are proud to be the heart of our MSUM community!
Stop by the library to view our book display (featuring the Top 10 Most Challenged Books) and check out a book with your Dragon ID, contribute to our interactive whiteboard discussion, grab a book sticker, and participate in our coloring contest for a chance to win a library themed prize. We’ll also be posting about the celebrations days during National Library Week on our social media accounts.
