The State Retirement Seminar – for those within five years of retirement
This seminar is designed for state employees within five years of retirement and for those who advise potential retirees. Many factors can help ensure a successful retirement. At this seminar we will provide you with information on how your pension and social security benefits are calculated. Information is also provided regarding the health care savings plan, state insurance benefits, state and federal tax changes, estate planning, deferred compensation benefits, financial matters, and life planning.

- Information regarding state benefits including, but not limited to, pension, insurance, Social Security and deferred compensation
- Tools to successfully plan your time and estate after retirement
- Potential tax changes and financial matters that may affect your retirement.
This seminar is now 2 full day sessions. Upcoming Course Dates are: March 22, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and March 23, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
To attend, you must be registered in Learning Management prior to the program start date. Self-payment or payment from the participant is not a valid payment option. MMB’s ETD division will only accept payment directly from your agency. If you work for an agency or organization that requires you to pay for the retirement seminar, please work with your agency to pay them directly for the seminar. Remember to follow your agency’s policies and procedures to encumber funds before you enroll to ensure that your agency is able to provide payment to MMB’s ETD division for your enrollment in this seminar.
