SLHS Faculty Rachel Stotts guest lectured to future law enforcement officers (LEOs)
Rachel Stotts in Speech/Language/Hearing Sciences guest lectured to future law enforcement officers (LEOs) at M State on Monday, March 20th, 2023.
Minnesota developed a statute that went into effect in January 2021 that included new student learning objectives for teaching future LEOs about autism spectrum disorder. Rachel was invited to teach on two of the learning objectives by Jeff Nelson, M State instructor Criminal Justice Program Coordinator/Faculty.
The class was well received, and the future LEOs were engaged in learning about autism and potential interventions.
