Let’s celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. on Jan. 17

MSUM will commemorate the life and work of Martin Luther King, Jr., in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Gaede Stage on Jan. 17.
This year’s annual event focuses on social responsibility – “More than a Dream.”
A pre-event reception will be followed by an MLK reflection with Associate Provost Dr. Frank King, invocation by campus Chaplain Dominique Buchholz, African American spirituals and civil rights music featuring singer/songwriter Kwaician Traylor, and a panel discussing our social responsibility as fellow Dragons and human beings.
Panelists include Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator Zinnia Marquette; 2022 graphic communications graduate Kory Oliver-Powell; Rachel Stone, P’s & Q’s Etiquette CEO and Moorhead Public Schools board member; and Sociology and Criminal Justice Professor Dr. Lee Vigilant. Director of Diversity and Inclusion Jered Pigeon will moderate.
