NextGen 2022 – The year in review and outlook for 2023
As we reflect on the NextGen initiative over the past year, it’s important to recognize the significant accomplishments that have been achieved by all those involved in the implementation of Workday at Minnesota State.
In 2022, the Project Team executed on several key milestones:
- Completed the Configure and Prototype project phases
- Initiated the Testing phase and made significant progress on End-to-End Testing Cycle One
- Engaged with our institution partners to prioritize the needs of our Colleges and Universities, as well as provide support and guidance to our TMTs, stakeholders, and users along the NextGen project journey
- Leveraged findings that indicated an extension to the timeline should be considered, and developed an initial proposal to extend the go-live date for project success
- Commenced evaluation of timeline extension impacts and begun negotiations for a new go-live date
The project team is looking forward to 2023 with a clear path for a successful implementation. Please know the team is eager to work with campuses across the state and to incorporate feedback from MSUM experts.
