Recruiting process for classified and unclassified positions will be performed in Workday
As part of the transition to Workday (anticipated for July 2024), recruiting for classified positions will move from Recruiting Solutions to Workday, allowing for the posting of both classified and unclassified positions in one system.
What does this mean for MSUM employees?
For MSUM employees participating in search committees, this change will be fairly limited. With applicants being directed to a single system, this will allow search committee members to become more comfortable and experienced with the Workday Recruiting platform. Training on the new system and process will be delivered via a variety of methods, from interactive live classes to brief video demos, micro-learnings, and job aids that walk individuals through a task in Workday Recruiting.
Classified Positions
Classified postings will appear on the State’s website, and applicants will click on a link that appears in the posting to apply. When they click the link, applicants will be redirected to Workday to complete their application. The recruiting team will complete the remainder of the recruiting process in Workday.
Unclassified Positions
Once we go live, Workday Recruiting will replace PeopleAdmin, and all unclassified postings will be created in Workday Recruiting. Institutions will have time to complete the recruiting process for any postings remaining in PeopleAdmin after Workday is implemented. The only difference between the processes for classified and unclassified positions is at the beginning. Recruiters will post each classified position in both Recruiting Solutions and Workday Recruiting, while unclassified positions will be posted in Workday Recruiting.
