MSUM Collegiate DECA Update

The new DECA competition season has started! 12 MSUM DECA students recently attended the Minnesota DECA Innovation Summit at the Mall of America. They included the current Minnesota DECA State President, Nora Simondeit.

The attendees participated in an unprepared team competition. They were randomly placed in 22 teams to develop a non-profit business idea in 60 minutes. Four MSUM students were members of the five teams selected by the judges for the final presentations to the entire audience. The winning team included Christian O’Hara and Kobey Block from MSUM. Dillon Fliehler was on the second-placing team.
