Applications open for MSUM’s new Master of Social Work (MSW)
MSUM is now accepting applications for its new Master of Social Work (MSW). The first cohort will begin classes in spring 2023.
The new program includes specializations not offered elsewhere in the Minnesota university system: Multicultural Clinical and Social Change & Leadership. These specializations were chosen after researching regional market demand.
- The MSW is an online plus program, meaning the classes will be delivered via distance technology, but there will be some face-to-face or on-campus components.
- For nearly 50 years, MSUM’s undergraduate social work program has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, meaning MSW candidates will experience a strong history of success.
- Students with a Bachelor of Social Work qualify for Advanced Standing, allowing them to focus on building preexisting skills and knowledge while graduating in a shorter time frame.
