Sept. 6 Proposal Deadline for Breakout Sessions for Oct. 3’s Faculty & Professional Learning Day
October 3, 8:30 am – 3 pm, is Faculty & Professional Learning Day. The planning team and the FPLC Committee is working on the agenda and content for the day. The overall theme is “Where Are We Now? Where Do We Go From Here? Student Engagement in Higher Education’s Next Normal.”
We are looking for proposals from all across the university, all units, departments, and appointment types. The breakout sessions will be 50 minutes and can either be more traditional, informational/demonstration presentations or more dialog-based, roundtable sessions.
The themes that the sessions should correlate to are (these are detailed more specifically in the proposal form below):
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Student-Centered Practices (including in the classroom and in other areas of our work)
- Retention
- Teaching, Learning, and Support
Form for submissions (due Sept. 6): https://forms.office.com/r/mZ9Du5T3ZV
Have an idea, but unsure where it fits in the themes? Have an idea but want to talk further about its development? Email Brittney Goodman at brittney.goodman@mnstate.edu
An agenda for the day and a chance to register and to indicate interest in sessions will be sent out to the campus around September 21. More information soon.
