Abigail Bormann named Undergraduate Student Employee of the Year!
We are incredibly excited to announce the 2022 Student Employee of the Year Awards!
The Undergraduate Student Employee of the Year is Abigail Bormann, Planetarium Assistant and senior graduating with a degree in Chemistry. Here’s what her nominator, Sara Shultz, Supervisor and Planetarium Director, had to say about Abigail:
“Abigail is a truly outstanding student and individual. She is diligent, reliable, creative, driven, and mature. I have worked with Abigail for the past 4 years and in that time I have personally experienced and witnessed how intelligent, resourceful, can capable she is. The first year she started working with me she decided to create a planetarium show that integrated live (violin played by her) and recorded music, art, history, astronomy, and astrology. To say this project was ambitious is an understatement. However, she successfully created and performed this show with minimal guidance and assistance from me. This show remains one of the best and most celebrated shows in our repertoire… She became our lead presenter and show creator and has trained many of my subsequent staff. She is truly multi-talented and just an all-around excellent person. She has accomplished more in her time with me than any other student I have worked with and I am extremely proud of her and her work. “
These awards are given to undergraduate and graduate student employees that go above and beyond in their work and exemplify the NACE Career Readiness Competencies.
