6 local men lost to AIDS are being remembered by those who loved them and honored by others they never met

Tracy Briggs of The Forum featured a heartfelt story about the AIDS National Memorial Quilt and six men from the Fargo-Moorhead area who lost their lives to AIDS. These men are getting panels of their own added to the memorial quilt. Read the full story.

The memorial quilt is displayed through November in Livingston Lord Library’s first floor during open hours.   

Dec. 1 is World AIDS Day and the closing of the quilt display at MSUM. The newly created quilt panels will be on display  Dec. 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Langseth Hall room 104. The closing also includes the screening of the documentary, Nothing Without Us: The Women Who Will End AIDS. This film tells the story of the women who were at the forefront of the global AIDS movement. These inspirational women played a vital role in HIV prevention and education and have spent over 30 years fighting for a cure.
