Events On Campus in the First Few Weeks of Class
As we get ready to welcome students back to campus many departments have events planned to help students connect and get involved in campus life. Students who participate in campus life make stronger connections to MSUM and begin to meet new people, which can help develop a sense of belonging. Attending events can also provide opportunities for students to have structure in their schedules and practice time management.
How can staff and staff support student engagement?
– Encourage students to attend events
– Remind students they can find out what’s happening on DragonCentral
– Announce events in your classes
– Normalize going to events as a way to meet people
– Volunteer at or stop by events (Sign up to volunteer)
