Kay Beckermann, Assistant Professor of Public Relations and Digital Media, will present “Social Media Cartography: Creating a Course Map for Improved Instruction” during ProfCon ‘21, June 14-16, 2021.

Beckermann will discuss how to create a course map that ensures learning activities and assessments match course objectives.  Participates will leave with a template they can use for their own social media classes.

ProfCon, which is virtual this year, is an opportunity for social media educators from across the United States to learn from and network with fellow instructors and industry professionals.

Beckermann is also leading a mass communication discipline discussion during Teach Together Minnesota, May 18, 2021.  The discussion will revolve around culturally responsive online teaching and learning, focusing on where the mass communication industry is in terms of equity within the online environment.
