Three candidates selected as finalists for Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Graduate Studies search

Each candidate will present a public forum on the following topic: “What are some of the challenges/opportunities that this role provides and how will you balance the many priorities required of the AVPAA and Dean of Graduate Studies?”
Candidate Roberto Nava’s public forum will be Tuesday, March 30 at 2 p.m. via Zoom.
Dr. Roberto Nava is currently Dean of the College of Education at Montana State University Billings. He previously served as Associate Dean at Metropolitan State University. Nava holds a PhD in Education from Oregon State University, MAT in Education from George Fox University and a BS in Business Administration from Oregon State University.
Candidate Lisa Karch’s public forum will be Thursday, April 1 at 3 p.m. via Zoom.
Dr. Lisa Karch is currently Interim Dean of Graduate & Extended Learning at Minnesota State University Moorhead. She previously served as Director of Graduate Studies at MSUM. Karch earned a PhD in Human Development and Education with an Emphasis in Counselor Education and Supervision at NDSU, Specialist Degree, K-12 Principal Licensure at MSUM, M.Ed. in Counseling at NDSU and a BA at Concordia College.
Candidate Monica Lam’s public forum will be Wednesday, April 7 at 3 p.m. via Zoom.
Dr. Monica Lam is currently the Dean of the College of Business at the University of Central Oklahoma. She previously served as Dean of the School of Business Administration at Thomas Jefferson University. Lam earned a M.Div. at Western Seminary, PhD at University of Wisconsin, MS at Texas A&M University and a BS at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
