#StopAsianHate Vigil & Speak-out

We invite our MSUM community to gather on the Campus Mall (at the acorns) on Wednesday, April 7th at 1:00pm to honor and mourn the eight people of Asian descent who were killed in the March 16th shooting in Atlanta, GA, including six women. Join us to learn more about recent acts of violence against the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander community as well as the history behind such acts. We’ll be joined by a speaker from United Chinese Americans Fargo.
Those attending will also have the opportunity to speak and share. Staff from MSUM Counseling Services, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and the Women’s Center will be on hand to support those attending.
Masks are required at this in-person event, and those attending are asked to continue practice social distancing.
Co-sponsored by the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, the Women’s Center, the Black Student Union, and Campus Feminist Organization. Questions? Contact Puja Sharma-Husmann at puja.sharma-husmann@mnstate.edu.
