Be in Community | Special Session of Listening & Sharing Space
On Tuesday, April 20 about 4pm, the jury delivered guilty verdicts on all three counts in the Derek Chauvin Trial. With this development in the trial, we recognize that folks may have a desire to be in community and/or have a safe space to process, listen, and share.
MSUM Counseling Services and Student Life will offer a safe listening and sharing space that is open to all students. Being together and being in community are important as we process our collective trauma. There is no pressure to speak up or share. During the one-hour timeframe, Shanti Behrens from Counseling Services and Annie Wood from Student Life will hold space for folks to gather either in-person or online via Zoom. There will be no set agenda and folks are welcome to come as they are. We will also have coloring pages and other options if you are interested in simply being together.
Join in-person in CMU 105 or online via Zoom.
