Spread the Word to End the Word – Inclusion and Connection Scavenger Hunt
March 3 begins the national Spread the Word – Inclusion campaign
The Spread the Word campaign was built on the idea that inclusion is a skill each of us can learn and practice, together! It was started to spread the word to end the R-word. This year’s renewed focus of Spread the Word-Inclusion is on the importance of connection.
Two weeks ago, members of the MSUM Student Council for Exceptional Children (SCEC) got together to paint beautiful rocks to help our campus spread the word! We are so excited for our campus-wide campaign. Follow the directions and play along with us.
Starting March 3, beautiful painted rocks will be hidden around campus. Keep an eye out! IF YOU FIND A ROCK…..snap a pic of it, or with it. Upload to Instagram or Facebook and use the hashtag #msumspreadtheword. Feel free to post each pic individually or wait until the last day of the campaign and post all at once. If you would like, add a note sharing your inclusion/connection story
AFTER you have taken the picture, REHIDE the rock in a NEW location. Please do not take the rock until the last day of the campaign (3/12/21).
*****The individual who is able to find the most INCLUSION rocks by Friday, March 12, will win an awesome SPREAD THE WORD – INCLUSION T-shirt.
Dragons – let’s take action to spread INCLUSION, visit www.spreadtheword.global to take the pledge.
