Free Emergency Contraception & Pregnancy Tests
Free emergency contraception (also called the “morning after pill”) and pregnancy tests are now available to students of any gender in the Women’s Center (Bridges 154). Emergency contraception is a pill that can be taken up to five days or 120 hours after having unprotected sex in order to help prevent pregnancy. These items are available near our other safer sex supplies (condoms and lube) on the resource counter near the door.
Students are welcome to speak to staff if they have any questions but can also help themselves to whatever they need on the counter.
More information about emergency contraception and how to use it can be found here: https://www.plannedparenthood.org/planned-parenthood-hudson-peconic/patient-resources/emergency-contraception
Students can also contact the Coordinator of Gender and Sexuality, Dana Bisignani (she/her), at dana.bisignani@mnstate.edu or (218) 477-4973, or they can drop by Bridges 154 Monday through Thursday from 8:00am-4:30pm.
